Our Participants on Day Walks are expected to:

  •  Take responsibility for their own safety and must comply with the Club policies and follow the instructions of the Leader.
  •  Ensure the activity is within your capability. (If in doubt, consult the leader prior to the activity.)
  •  Arrive at the meeting place 10 min prior to the designated departure time.
  •  Remain with the group at all times- If you feel you must leave the group then you must advise the Leader.

Cancellation

Any activity will be cancelled, without notice, when a “Total Fire Ban” is declared in the Central district and/or in the district in which the activity is to occur.

Transport:

Carpooling is recommended wherever practical. The Club recommends that the operating cost be shared between passengers.

Insurance:

On “Club Activities”, Members, including vistors, up to the age of 95years, are covered by a personal accident and public liability insurance policy through Bushwalking Victoria.

Our First Aider or Activity Leader will call an ambulance if they consider it appropriate, ambulance cover is strongly recommended.

What to take on a Day Walk
